We
released BizTalk NoS Ultimate about 2 months ago (end of May – Version 1.2) and we are now ready for a new release (Version 1.5). Since our first release, we kept it really quiet, not talking too much about BizTalk NoS in our social channels, blogs etc., This was a cautious decision made by our team to take some time to assimilate customer feedback and improve our offering.
Over the past 2 months, we received a lot of feedback, both positive and negative from our trial users. We listened carefully to all of them to understand the challenges. We would like to thank everyone who provided us with valuable feedback. We have pretty much addressed all the reported issues and also added few new features —especially the extensive enhancement to Jackhammering feature in this release.
Our goal is to make BizTalk NoS Ultimate an essential product for any BizTalk developer to have BizTalk NoS as a
BizTalk developer tool.
Jackhammering
One task that a lot of consultants will relate to is the ability to extract and compare artifacts from DLLs, both hosted in a BizTalk environment or in a DLL compiled from a BizTalk Project. This was possible all along for .NET DLLs but not for BizTalk Solution which is enabled by the improvements of the Jackhammering feature. Another important capability provided by BizTalk NoS Ultimate is the ability to be able to compare and find differences between artifacts.
In this latest version of Jackhammering, we have added the capability to navigate better between environments, select the types of artifacts that you want to look for and to have the ability to select multiple assemblies and artifacts in one go while extracting.
Short Videos
One of the main feedback we received was the lack of documentation in understanding
BizTalk NoS Ulitmate. To address this, we have released some short videos (2 to 5 minutes), which will help you to understand specific features better.
Here are the links to some of the videos;
How can I get it?
It’s very easy. Just open your Visual Studio (2012 or 2013), navigate to
Tools >
Extensions and Updates (from the Menu), click “
Online” and on the search box type “
biztalk nos“. You’ll see the BizTalk NoS Ultimate (extension) in the list. Simply click the “
Download” button. That’s it!
Once you have downloaded and installed the extension, you’ll be prompted for a license key. Again, we’ve made it simple for you to request for a
15 days free trial license key. Just navigate to our
free-trial page to get your trial key.
If you have any pain points in using Visual Studio for BizTalk development, let us know. We are actively looking for feedback to improve BizTalk NoS Ultimate and make it the ultimate BizTalk developer tool.
There are much more things to come for BizTalk NoS in coming weeks and months, so stay tuned!!
