The European Commission’s role is to instigate and implement the EU’s policies. The Commission’s work is steered by a College of Commissioners and its president. The commissioners work on specific policy priorities that the Commission President sets out.
We had 2 BizTalk Servers and SQL Servers in acceptance and 4 BizTalk Servers and 2 SQL Servers in an availability group. In addition, there are several surrounding technology applications that we would like to pull into a unified monitoring environment – application databases, batch jobs, overnight data loads, etc. We were using SCOM, custom code, and manual labor from our end.
As previously said, we were searching for a monitoring solution to alert us when something terrible happened. As a result, BizTalk360 provides excellent monitoring and automated recovery and retry tools for enabling ports and message resubmissions. We also intended to shift to a SaaS-based low-code iPaaS platform for improved scalability.
There was no single moment as such, just a desire to unify the monitoring into a single tool and a willingness to separate the functions of the infrastructure teams & business/ops teams regarding the admin console access. We have made progress with the monitoring and continue to expand the scope. But we have not been able to address the access to the standard admin console. Saravana, CEO of Kovai.co, explained the reasoning in his G2Crowd response, but still – and we could take advantage of some fine-grained access controls. The standard Microsoft groups are too broad. The only alternative is to write our custom code – and there’s much of it to write.
It is a large product and somewhat overwhelming to be with. Understanding the concept of setting up alarms and mapping them to artifacts is vital. BizTalk360 itself sends notifications when something unexpected happens. We had some positive experiences using BizTalk360. We were able to remove the dependency on SCOM.
The process is not complete, but we are on the way to aggregating all our monitoring and support requirements into a single tool. We would highly recommend this product, BizTalk360, to all the BizTalk users where it pulls together many operations and supports tasks into a single tool which can be:
We want to say that right from the installation first to use experience. We had an excellent experience with the BizTalk360 team. It added value to our day-to-day activities. Overall, the quality of BizTalk360 is too good to use.
