We have a significant number of 24/7 transactional applications, and BizTalk360 helped us to create alarms when one of the systems is failing or when several suspended instances are present. Also, being able to monitor an expected number of processes on a particular schedule is invaluable to us. The alarms are really easy to configure and map with our applications. If we don’t know something about the product, it is easy for us to look or search the help and instructions on the website.

The feature we most often use / we liked the most

BizTalk alarms and process monitoring – for example, if we have a process that runs once daily, we have alarms in place to trigger when we haven’t received a file/web request at the expected time. For applications that run transactionally 24/7, we have monitoring to check the process every hour.

Results / Impact with BizTalk360 

We can respond faster to any issues and support tickets that come our way, keeping our services running 24/7. We use BAM views to facilitate the tracking of our transactions by both technical and non-technical users. The BAM portal was used extensively throughout the organization. When the IT department decided to remove Internet Explorer, we were in trouble because the BAM portal does not work in other browsers. We were exploring the option of developing a custom website to replace the BAM portal, but then we found out that BizTalk360 could read the BAM views. This was fantastic news – as it supports all browsers, and the responsiveness is so much better than the out-of-the-box BAM portal.
